She is a very good teacher and she has an interest in how her students are doing. Her class is very well organized and if you pay attention, you'll learn a lot. Homework and assignments are minimal. overall, I reccomend taking her class.

A great teacher

Mr. Damron is an excellent history teacher. His passion for history makes his class interesting. He is an excellent speaker and his lectures are fastinating. His understanding of history is very extensive. Sometimes he becomes sidetracked during lectures but you still learn a tremendous amount. Almost everyone in his fall 2002 class passed. I highly recommend taking his class if you have an interest in history.

Horrible Teacher

Mrs. Horkman is the worst teacher I've ever had. Her tests questions are poorly worded, making them nearly impossible to understand. She doesn't like students to ask her questions. She shows extreme favoritism. She is not available outside of class. In one instance, she offered to trade a student a good grade for a good evaluation. Her handwriting and diagrams are very poor. The lab portion of her class is very unorganized. In summation, avoid taking her class at all costs.

Excellent Teacher!

LeeAnn Lotz is an excellent math teacher. She is very fair and she keeps class interesting. Her tests are fairly difficult but as long as you pay attention and do the homework, you'll find it very easy to earn an A. Overall, Ms. Lotz's class was worth the time and effort and I plan to enroll in future math classes with her.

Wow--Sister Sharon Can Teach!

This is probably the best math class I've ever been in. Not only is she very willing to answer questions over homework problems or the material, but she checks to make sure we understand the material before proceeding. After every major section, she would have us stand at the board and work problems. So we got to learn the material by actually doing it. (It definitely beats trying to follow along on an example that a teacher is solving on the board.) Then, if there were common errors or any questions, she would explain the material further. This has got to be the best and most painless way to learn Calculus anyone has ever invented.

Too Bad There Aren't More Teachers Like This

Dr. Fenster's enthusiasm for biology is contagious. He is very willing to answer questions in or outside of class. In fact, he expects class participation. Lectures go pretty fast, so it is hard to keep up if you haven't read the material ahead of time (it is highly recommended that you do). The tests are based almost entirely on the lectures, but you won't understand the lectures if you don't read the book.

Other helpful tips: Turn OFF your cellphones. If you come in to class late, don't walk across the front of the room (in front OR behind him). He gets pretty upset when people interrupt the lecture (with the exception of asking questions). Ask a lot of questions--relevant to the material. He expects the class to be an active participant in the learning experience, not a bunch of mindless zombies.

If you're willing to learn a lot about biology and enjoy the experience, definitely take this class.

A Superb Teacher

Wyatt a superb teacher. She explains the material so well that you should have a thorough understanding of it by the time a test rolls around. The tests were very difficult. However, she is more than willing to help you and answer questions about the material inside or outside of class (not during the test, of course).

The class was writing enhanced the year I took it, so there were a lot of projects requiring use of the computer labs. She always went over how to use the computer labs' programs and other tools--like your graphing calculator--in great detail, so that the projects aided in understanding the material.

Overall, an awesome teacher. I had her for Elementary Algebra and then took her again for Precalculus.
