If you are explaining an answer that you put on a test and you change one word to make it sound even remotely wrong, he will count it wrong.  One test I took this past year, he took off 6 points for one word that should of been different.  That is just an example.  That whole test, with any other teacher, would of been at least passing, but with Smith it was a 44. The instructor was often unable to answer questions posed in class.

The lectures consisted of reading from PowerPoint slides.  These slides often contained information in conflict with the information in the book.

Exams tended to test one's ability to discern the instructor's meaning rather than one's actual knowledge.

Projects were not well defined.
