This is what I thought college was going to be and I have been sadly disappointed with the rest of RIT. I Feel Dr.Nazzaro is a window into a more prestigious academic world that I probably didn't deserve coming out of highschool but only wish I could've experienced now.

**WARNING** Bail Out NoW!!!

I had this professor for Transmission Lines and to be honest, he didn't make the course easy. If you can deal with his fast and soft talking personality, you would still have to deal with his out of the box type thinking problems on his surprise quizzes and one mid term. The questions are never repeated, and not even close to the questions he gives in his homework(not collected) assignments or the supplemental problems. On top of that, most of the questions are very vague and ambiguous. If you are a person who is up for some challenging course material, where you would get a low B or below, if you work really hard, then I suggest that this is the professor for you. You have to know the material like the back of your hand to answer his problems. The mid term was easy for some, but he just killed everyone in the final. I literally worked most on this course, and yet the results were displeasing. There is only so much one can do. Also, when you ask questions in class, his response is not straight forward, and you will definitely get more confused than you were before you asked the question.

My grades in the other courses declined as I was spending more time on this course for no reason. If you have a choice, and if Transmission Lines is offered by Young, then please please please for the love of god take it no matter how many bad reviews you have heard about him. He is way better than this guy anytime!!!
You have been warned!!! If you do decide to take him, take him with only 16 credits or less in that particular quarter.

Circuits I

Great teaching style, very intelligent, great at explaining

Physics III

Taught well, communicated well, always available for help! He moves quickly, but explains very well with detailed examples. I've never come out of his class saying "Man, I didn't learn anything today," as seems to be the case with many of my other courses.

His tests are hard, but he teaches well enough to justify his hard questions. I came out of Matrix Algebra with a B that I really had to work for, but I went into Linear Algebra with a better understanding than most left Linear with.

If you want to learn, take a course with Lutzer. If you want to get a good grade without thinking, find another professor.

Fantastic Teacher

He is an amazing professor, always making class interesting. He will make jokes at students expense sometimes but will readily take jokes at his own expense as well. He will assign a 1-2 page summary per class which all you need to do is read the chapter and summarize what you read, (you can change margins or paper size, etc. if you are in danger of going over the limit or under the limit but dont do it too often or he might decide to crack down on it) and he hates final exams so he will give you some minor test worth like 10% of your grade that is like 25 multiple choice. The only thing that is at all hard about the class is the term paper but he gives you plenty of time to do it, the topics are always in the syllabus so its just a question of how long you procrastinate on it.

AVOID AT ALL COST!

I DO NOT recommend anyone to take a class with this professor unless I hate their guts. She is a terrible professor. She has an angry attitude and is not helpful AT ALL! She doesn't answer questions, and don't explain anything clearly, when I asked her for help she appeared to be very angry and not welcoming at all. I came to her once and she made me feel like I should never ask her for help again. I don't know how she became a professor at RIT...Further more I don't understand how she is the head of the department. Half the time she doesn't even remember what she told students, she says one thing and does another. Overall, I regret taking this class, and I hope no one else makes the same mistake as I did. If you do happen to be placed in this class you must be able to learn materials by yourself. She does give out notes but the notes cover about a quarter of her exams. All I can say is good luck, you will need it.

WEB DESIGN GENIOUS!

If you want to relax after a lot of stress with other courses, I suggest take Jim. This taught me absolutely nothing about web design. Most of the group's time was spent researching the content that the website required. Lectures were boring and tedious and proved to be of little value. You might as well skip class and just hand in the homework assignments. We are currently in the seventh week of class and no assignments have been graded whatsoever. The lectures seem to be haphazardly prepared immediately before class. Professor Harris has taken phone calls during lecture and ditched out on class for personal issues multiple times.

More On the Ball than may be obvious at first...

Prof. Bills is extremely intelligent and professional. He's fine as a person, but as a teacher he's terrible. He has no organization and makes you feel like an idiot when you ask questions. He spends more time showing us how to do things on statistics packages on the computer than giving us useful information on how to do things longhand, which he expects us to do on tests. He'll write half a problem on one white board, then go to another white board to do part of the problem, then go back to the first one. He has no clear notes and no clear schedule, doesn't tell what chapter we're working with or refer us to material that might be helpful. The homework, on average, took a minimum of eight hours, working with a study group, because the concepts were so unclear. Unless you already know 90% of the material that the class covers, you have no hope of understanding anything with this teacher.

Great professor that really knows what he's doing

Had him for two math classes and really liked he class.
