He only teaches as a side to his real job as a CPA and because of this, he couldn't care less whether you actually learn anything or pass the class. His speaking voice is monotone and boring, he has unrealistic expectations, and generally has poor teaching habits. He expects you to read the whole chapter before class and do all the homework (which some teachers do, I understand), but then in class he sits there (not standing, mind you, sitting, so that if you are in the back you can't even see him) in class and asks if there are any questions about the homework. Well of course there are questions, you didn't bother to actually talk about the chapter or teach us anything! The class I took was 3 times a week and 50 minutes long. He was 10 minutes late to the first quiz he gave (which was 35 questions, about half which were computations), giving us roughly 40 minutes to complete it. Not to mention he ran out of exams and had to leave the room to get more printed. That left several people 5 minutes behind everyone else. I asked around after that test and EVERYONE I talked to said that they guessed on the last 15 questions just to get it done. In short if you can get ANY other teacher for Accounting, please try to, you will be VERY disappointed with Paul Sanders.

Abusive and infantile for a university professor...shocking!

This professor is abviously intelligent but he fails to teach effectively because he is so consummed with dishing out offensive comments. The name calling is absolutely infantile and his attacks an any republicans are horrific! You sit in class and just stare at the poor student who challenges Buzan. He is extremely abusive and does not argue a point without name calling, plain as that. This man should be reported and sued for the liberties he takes with students. CSUF needs to be more on top of this guy!

This will become your favorite class!

Robin was such a wonderful professor. I took his Creative Dance for Children seminar and I don't regret it one bit. I went into this class a bit apprehensive because dance is really not my thing. I didn't expect it would become my favorite class! I am so glad I took it and I learned a lot. This is the first portfolio I will actually keep so I can refer back to it when I have my own classroom. I met a lot of nice people there too. The only down side is he plays favorites to the dance majors, but that is to be expected.

A great experience!

Professor Patchen is an excellent person. She is fun to be around, is great conversationalist, and knows a lot about the subject area she teaches. I don't know if would consider the course one in which she taught us, but more like guided us to form out own opinions on social issues that affect us every day. She was really good at allowing us to form our own conclusions. Her assignments were good and her grading was fair. She never cancelled class on us and we had a couple of meetings which were online. She is also good at using Blackboard. Very personable.

BORING!!!

Sandner's class really needs some sprucing up. If you take his class you will see that I am not just some whiney baby. He doesn't seem to know how to make the course interesting which is sad because the class can be extremely interesting. I went into this class thinking it would be a theories class and I would learn ways in which to present children's books to children, not how to overanalyze the material. I do not need to know how to do some of the things we talked about. I wanted to learn ways in which to engaged children and I didn't learn that. I guess I'm on my own. His voice is also very breathy and he babbles. He even rambles on in the syllabus. Really, I am speechless when I think about it, and not in a good way. This was the class I dreaded going to the most and I am so glad it's over.

Boring, but knows his stuff

Runco is an expert in his field. The one thing you can count on with him is that he will have the answer to everything having to do with psychological testing and procedures. However, his lectures can get extremely boring, which makes them hard to follow. His exams are not too bad if you study your notes. Also, the textbook he chose to use was over $100 and we didn't really need it. He says that you need the book for the tests, but I didn't really open the book and I still did alright on the exams. He also tells really bad jokes, but I give him credit for trying.

Do not take this teacher!

This professor has by far been one of the worst. She is late every day, she doesn't teach anything, and you walk out feeling like you wasted all of your time. My theory is: why go to class to be with a teacher if the teacher isn't going to teach? I will always remember her for the whole lot of nothingness she taught me. She also gets a bad attitude and only talks about her daughter. She either takes forever to pass back graded papers or doesn't pass them back at all. All of her typed papers have lots of typos too.

Excellent professor

this class is so fun and easy recommend you take speech 100 with this teacher, there are three easy multiple choice tests, two speeches, and many other small easy assignments, her lectures are extremely interesting because she is a young professor and makes the lectures fun! She gives only 3 tests. Your final is just a regular test that is not comprehensive. Everything she lectures will be on the test so you don't really need to read the book. You are not require to make any speeches in her class. There is 2 reaction papers that is very easy. This class is a for sure A. All you need to do is go to class and take notes and do your reaction papers. There is no homework. Very easy and interesting class. Test is multiple choice questions.

A great and helpful teacher

He is a very helpful teacher. He gives 2 tests and his final is comprehensive which is the downside. You have to be in class to take notes and His writing is most of the time hard to read. He gives one paper to write which is easy. There is alot of memorization. He gives you a study guide before the test and goes over it so you know what to study. I got a B in his class and I highly recommend him. He is a very nice teacher. You must go to class because he takes roll. You can e-mail him if you have any questions and he'll answer you right back. His test is in essay form so write alot.

Do not take this teacher if you can.

I would just like to say that Prof. Ramirez is a really nice guy, but a horrible teacher. His lectures are not very organized and the tests are even worse! This class is a basic class but this guy overcomplicates it and makes it confusing with his disorganized lectures. The way that Ramirez asks the questions on his tests, he makes it very confusing. He will even ask questions that he never went over in class. Also he assigns a lot of homework without really explaining it very well.

Great teacher

Dr. Navarick is an excellent lecturer and keeps the class very entertained. He not only makes his classes fun and engaging, but you actually walk away with a lot of knowledge as well. He is very fair and diplomatic, and he provides a safe atmosphere in which students with sometimes very opposing beliefs can freely express themselves.

His assignments are aimed at getting the student to truly THINK about things and more importantly, how he/she would CHANGE certain aspect of politics--legislation and such.

He is truly interested in hearing your voice, but it is your job to raise your hand and speak. He is more than willing to listen; he wants to.

His exams are essays in which you should cite material, which means you have to know it. But if you signed up for the class to learn something, this shouldn't be a difficult concept to grasp.

I thoroughly enjoyed his class and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. He is a rare professor.

Good teacher

The lecture is interesting with lot of slides and some videos. The content are interesting, but the lecture itself can be a little boring sometimes. The tests are fair, and are straight from the book, lecture, and sample tests (came with book).
