He provides detailed worksheets and the information on the tests come directly from them. The labs are fun and I learned a lot in his class. I also found him to be both kind and courteous. It is a hard subject to teach and she does it well. I would just advise to not sit in the front row right where she stands. She had a lot of enthusiasm when she came to class and you could tell that she really enjoyed being there. She shows a lot of videos which can tend to be boring but they were interesting if you like different types of dancing. There are a couple of precautions that I would advise. When you turn in your homework, she turns it back late, sometimes very late. Sometimes when she assigns homework, it never gets collected so you basically do it for nothing. When you have an opinion that she does not agree with, she will put you down.We had four essay assignments and she gave only three back. She gave the thrid one back more than a month after we had written it and the fourth essay was never returned, she did not even tell us what grade we got on it. She did give us an extra credit essay, but some people did not do it because we never got all of our grades for our essays back. She has a lot of promise as a teacher and could use some improving. The whole class was barely passing and his average grades on tests were failing grades. He used powerpoint for his lectures but he wandered off topic all of the time, even once showing us a picture of him as a young kid on a horse acting like a cowboy. I dropped out of the class and took it again at F.C.C. and got an A. Go figure! Although my weakest subject is Math, I managed to get an A. and, I actually never fell asleep in class like I've always done in all my other math classes. Mr. Petrie explains things better than any other teacher I've had. The tests are really easy and you will for sure know the correct answers because she gives a really good review. The only bad thing about it is that it is kinda long so take it with a friend. Mrs. Brackett is really nice and tries to make the class interesting. Doesn't give any homework (except the reading homework). Quizzes are really easy. Tests are okay, too. As long as you attend his class everyday and not miss any of the lecture, you'll do fine. His quizzes are okay. All the terms are from the notes. There are no projects. Just a couple of homework all through the semester. Anybody who stays awake in class and take good notes will defenitely pass the course with at least a "C." You are also allowed to ask him questions when taking a quiz or an exam.
