His lectures are full of useful information, relevant anecdotes, and Scriptural basis for his beliefs. His tests ensure that the student has not just memorized a bunch of facts, but rather that they have learned the information and can apply it. His tests are a GREAT way to see if you have really mastered the material.

Take Dr. Hemminger for every class you can!

Dr. Hemminger's classes tend to fill up quickly - even though his coursework can be a bit demanding, you will receive a first rate education from him. His tests have a reputation of being difficult - although they're multiple choice, students who aren't adequately prepared will not do well on his exams. But if you invest yourself fully in the material, you will find that Dr. Hemminger will freely and fully invest himself in your educational experience.

His lectures are interesting - as he integrates class material, his own counselor/client experiences, and Scripture into his overall presentation. He is a tremendous asset to the teaching staff at DBU.

Dedicated Professor

Todd Linder incorporates his faith and education in devotionals each class period. His exams are take home exams. I have taken several of his classes and I would recommend him for the grad student at any level. Don't plan on missing any days in his class. He does not distinguish between "excused" or "unexcused" absenses.

Challenging but would take from her again

This was a grueling two week Mini Semester. We were required to complete tons of homework BUT I did enjoy the class and I liked Brenda as a teacher. She seemed a little rigid with the rules, BUT was personable and friendly. I would take a class from her again.

A caring teacher and individual.

Dr. Henninger is a fantastic teacher. She is easily intimidated by the prior knowledge you have on any subject. You can tell by her impromptu lectures that she did not prepare, nor was she able to conjure up logical information about theories or theorist. I pity the person who has her in the beginning of their graduate studies, because she will make you want to withdrawal, not only form her course, but the university for hiring such an incompetent teacher. You can tell that she is such a misfit in the world of educational giants. Her knowledge is limited and her public speaking abilities are few and far between. She is the most boring instructor I have ever had. I can't imagine how she was even hired, based on her daily performance and random and limited knowledge of the subject at hand. Many students have complained about her teaching methods and style, but the she is still there. She keeps all your research papers and anything you hand in. She is working on her Ph.D. and probably needs better-researched papers to complete her pitifully prepared dissertation. IF there is any way you can avoid her, do so at all cost. If there was a grade lower than an "F" she would receive it.
