There were many excellent discussions between class participants facilitated by the instructor. The group project was stressful but that is to be expected when your "group" is spread out from California to Germany.

Matt was available and answered our concerns quickly (normally within 24 hours). His answers were always succinct and to the point. The grading criteria were clear and well-defined. His lectures (supplemental to the readings) were often insightful and had a lot of good information in them. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and would recommend Matt to anyone taking the Client-Server Arcitecture class through the Regis On-line system

Avoid this combination of class/teacher if possible

The online class given was simply a rehash of the ground-based class. Unfortunately, the labs were modified but never checked to ensure accuracy, completeness or functionality. The students spent as much time troubleshooting the problems in the labs as they did actually doing the work. In addition, there were similar errors in both the mid-term and the final exams. Feedback given to students was virtually non-existant and all grade information was returned using www.mygradebook.com so all the student sees is a number... answer keys were provided very late (2-3 weeks late in some cases) but did not help the student to see why points were taken off of an assignment. I had to contest a grade for my final project becaue the grading crteria he used was for a different class (the ground-based class) instead of the criteria set forth in the syllabus the facilitator provided
