Several attempts were made to communicate with the instructor with absolutely no success. I even contacted the program director and I still did not hear from the instructor. I am so disgusted with this school right now - words can't describe the crappy education I received this term. I'm basically just paying for my piece of paper at this point.

Last of the finest

Kelly Gillespie is one of the brightest and most underrated instructors at Westwood. Kelly is an integral part of Westwood's networking program.

Chris rocks

Chris is an outstanding instructor. For the first time in 2+ years, I felt like I was in a real class. I can honesty say that the new security program at the Denver North Campus would be train wreck (commonly referred to as a joke) if it were not for Chris's commitment towards excellence. He has brought new meaning and hope to a program in need of a jump-start.

Dave Long Will be Missed

I only had Dave for one class and during that time he provided me with more direction and insight than my program director did for two years. I don't know the circumstances of Dave's departure, but this is a blow to the programming department, students and school. In my opinion, Dave was the last pillar of hope for Westwood. In just a short time he turned the programming department around, now watch it crumble. There has been more turnover at Westwood in the past two years than a fast food chain. What does it take to get and keep good people! Dave will be missed.

LAN Security

You could learn more in one day by going down to your local book store and reading a book on Unix security. If you are constantly bitching about having labs to do and he tells you that you are being a weenie, because this is COLLEGE, and he is right.

Yes, I agree that he did put down some students; however, I had classes with a few of those students and many other students and I agreed with him. The way they were behaving was childish to say the least. I does not excuse him for calling them names, but I would rather him tell me I am behaving like an idiot than go on thinking I am cool because of it.

Never once did he smell of alcohol. This is coming from someone who used to deal with alcoholics on a daily basis. Whoever posted the last review doesn't know what alcohol smells like. Yes, the man smoked, a lot of people do. A lot of programmers do. That was a very asinine statement from the last review and has no bearing on the way he teaches.

I, for one, got the most out of his C++/OOP classes (I had three classes with him.) than I had any of my programming classes before it. He knew the ins and outs of the compilers they we were assigned to use, as well as the programming language he was teaching.

I gave him a B because he was a great teacher to those who weren't whining constantly about all the work they had to do in class. *dripping melodrama*

Oh, I forgot to mention that not only was he teaching he was also our Program Director and working 60+ hours a week. Without him taking over that position, the students in the Programming Courses would have been in serious trouble. I was attending the school way before he became our Program Director and the ones before him were not doing as good a job at configuring our course schedules as he did.

Great teacher!

Kristy has a great personality, and tends to give a variety of topics to write on. He is the worst teacher that Westwood College
has ever had. He likes to put down students
by calling them idiots, dummies , and all kinds of other derogatory terms.

Mr. Mattingly always smells like alcohol, is always smoking and does not know the subject he has been assinged to teach.

Westwood needs to eliminate this person from its faculty, it is a disgrace and a dishonor to have people like this involved in teaching and affecting the lives of so many peole.
