He makes it so easy for you to pass this class through his unique teaching skills and great sense of humor. He almost makes Composition fun. While that task is definitely impossible, it is not impossible to leave the class knowing something. If you need to take Economics, YOU WANT TO TAKE THIS CLASS. The class hours are posted as 12pm-5:30pm. In reality you will be there until about 3:30. One of the first things he states in class is his "3 GETS"; Get to class on time, Get it on, and Get the hell out of here(early). Prof. Moore is very funny and entertaining(as you learn). To get an A in this class, you must copy every word from the board(no textbook), and memorize it. You are tested every week (after 2nd class), and the test questions are basically what was on the board. Everybody taking this class is an Engineering major, and Engineers use reference material to solve problems. I think this is the reason he allows the notes to solve the problems on the exams. It is hard to understand him sometimes (accent; from Turkey), but you could follow the notes. Prof. Ozkul has a great sense of humor, and is a lot of fun in class. She explains things very well, and is open for questions. Her only pitfall is her tests. They can be tricky. An example would be like teaching the alphabets, then testing you on the same backwards. He will go over chapters, then give you a quiz (which is not graded), then he will give you the answers. Be sure to study the answers, because they make up 95% of the test. You might as well take this class for writing credit, because two 15K papers are part of your final grade(writing credit or not). She is very nice and it is a good class. It is required for most degrees. I would take her if you have a choice. Her strong points are her personality, and the way she determines your grade. She works on a point system. She not only tells you about your weak points but also tells you about ALL your strong points. She kind of reads directly from the book but that will change in time ,most likely. His personality is dry, and not conducive to students who have difficulty in Math.
