If you're not a poli sci major and you're just looking for a few easy social science credits, you probably should not take her class. American Gov't isn't as difficult as some of her other classes, but it still requires a lot of time and effort.

Not my favorite.

I didn't like Dr. Plowman's classes because his essay exams don't correlate very well with the information we learned in class.
Also, his in-class "episodes" are a little over-the-top.
But in fairness to Dr. Plowman, he is a sweet man with lots of interesting life experiences.

If you like that in a professor, take her. Otherwise, dont. She'll make you work, but you'll also learn a lot.

She is VERY nice, and actually made math tolerable for me. However, there was a bit of homework assigned; but she didn't always check it, so if you want to slack off in this class you can. BUT, she is also a wonderful professor if you do indeed want to learn more about algebra. She wrote a lot on the board, and explained everything thoroughly.

Set, but good.

Dr. Giles was a pretty good professor, however unless you have A LOT of interest in political science, I would not recommend taking a class with her. I found it a little hard to keep up in this class, but students that kept up to the most recent government issues and politics seemed to do quite well. Dr. Giles was NOT at all flexible when it came to exams, which I did not agree with. She is not a flexible professor, yet she is a good professor if you really want to learn about our countries gov't and politics; granted you don't mind planning everything around her test dates.

Good Professor

I took this class as a core class. It was the best move I've made yet. Dr. Rogers made the class simple. He was straight forward with what you needed to do, and what you had to know. Some students thought that we had a little bit too much information to learn, but I didn't find it too hard. This class was really good for visual learners, and not people that get tired in dark rooms. 99% of the class time is spent looking at slides of paintings, and listening to their history and meanings. Although at times Dr. Rogers may have been a little boring, he made the class easy and understandable. Beware, Dr. Rogers will wake you up if you fall asleep in his class.

Try this one

I would recommend taking one of Dr. Jimenez's classes. He is a good, nice, and fair professor. He made it easy to do well in his class, in addition to learning a lot from the class as well. My class was small which made it a more personal learning experience; and opened up the subject even more to all of the students attending.

Great Teacher

I really enjoyed being in Dr. Manners' class. Too much of the lecture emphasis was placed on his personal life, rather than on the course itself. I did not have any notes from his lectures. Everything I learned was from reading the text. He was not open to hearing students opinions on issues during the class. He was often loud and wild in class, pushing around desks, and running all over the classroom. I did not agree with his "way" of "teaching" at all.
