There is a lot of interaction between the teacher and other classmates. He teaches items that are not necessarily found in the book. Which is great! I am an adult and I can read the book on my own. Jim has a lot of knowledge about Office Professional and teaches it so we can apply it to our careers. I would like to say that I think Jim is an excellent teacher. I know this is his first year teaching and he may not be perfect, but who is? He covers material fluently, is excellent when a student needs help or has questions and doesn't hesitate to help. I also know that he has stayed over class on more than one occasion to help students who don't understand some of the class activities. I personally have learned a great deal about Microsoft excell, Word, and Powerpoint. He is very pleasant to be around and makes the class a lot of fun. He has not only covered the topics required for this class...he goes above and beyond in delivering information that we can use in our everyday lives. He is continually asking what we would like to learn (on top of the covered topics). He is very ingenuitive since he doesn't know from class to class what equipment he will be able to use...i.e. what's broken down! He is a great sport. He showed us how to tailor a resume in word. How to submit work experience to schools to receive college credit. Also cool ways to captivate an audience with power point presentations. I love the training in excel too. He showed how to use excel to figure out budgets at home, as well as how to figure out complicated engineering problems.
