I've been in it now for about a month and a half and as far as I can tell we haven't talked at all about Climate or Weather, but we've used a lot of numbers and talked about the atmosphere alot. It's a huge class, so I imagine the tests will be multiple choice. Oh--he posts all the notes online, which is nice.

A little slow, but very interesting.

This professor is interested in his material. He teaches it like a deep conversation and invites anyone to ask questions and make comments at any time. It would help you to be interested in the subject material like me, becuase to me, even though he talks kindof slowly and thinks things out alot, it remains interesting.

Great class, great teacher.

This is by far my favorite class I'm taking right now. The lectures are always interesting, and since it's a class about movies, tv, and news (media, that is) she'll talk about a concept and then display an example from a popular movie, tv show, or news program. This keeps lectures very interesting. Every week we have a Screening session where we watch great movies or TV shows. A very interesting class. Also, little or no homework, attendance is optional, and since it's such a big class (~200 students) I imagine the test will be all mulitple choice.

He's a hoot!

Mr. Heslin was a breath of fresh air to me. He is an older guy (past 60) and I thought he may be a bit boring. I came to find out that he was very funny. He used to throw IU pins, pens, and candy to the class before class. He usually would just be sitting there and just chuck out that stuff...just fling it. It was funny. You can also see that he cares. He teaches in a big lecture hall, but encourages students raising their hands for any questions. He also throws out a joke every once in a while..which are pretty funny. One more thing....I took the last class on TR at 5:30 or so and got out early a lot!! Definitely try this one if your starting out in the Business School.
