Sometimes his tests are a little hard, but he makes up for it with his great lectures. I have two classes with him right now. He is so genuinely interested in all his students. He's great. "oh, eggs!"

Avoid at all costs - bad teacher who hates students.

I am a business major and I have had every professor in the department for at least one class. I don't intend to trash anyone, but I want to be fair and honest with this review and I have to say that Mr. Irick is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Almost all of the other teachers in the business department seem to really care about the students but I think Mr. Irick truly dislikes students. He does nothing to try to get students interested in what he is teaching and then he constantly complains in class that nobody seems to be interested or working hard. He just gives off an attitude (and a lot of my classmates talk about this a lot) like he hates or somehow resents students. I actually changed my major because of him - I really wanted to be an accounting major but I would have had to take at least three more classes with him and I just couldn't face it. I have several friends who have also changed majors or transferred to another school because of him. Try to take all of your accounting classes that you can with Professor Harris. Avoid Irick whenever possible.

Borrrring - avoid his classes if at all possible.

I am a business major and I have had at least one class from every professor in the department. Although Dr. Jacobsen seems like a nice enough guy, he is really really boring as a teacher. One of those professors who probably knows his stuff but just has no idea how to teach. I've had him for three classes (no way around him because of my major) and I just absolutely dreaded going to class. He is also hardly ever around outside class to help students.

Good teacher - nice person - always willing to help.

I am a business major and I have had at least one class with every teacher in the department. I have had two economics classes with Dr. Smrha and although I was not looking forward to taking economics I ended up enjoying the classes and learning a lot. Dr. Smrha is very good at explaining very abstract stuff and she is very patient with students who are having a hard time understanding the material. Her tests are tough but fair. And she is a very nice person, always available and willing to help students outside class.

Good teacher - you'll really learn a lot from him.

I am a business major and I have had at least one class from every faculty member in the department. I have had a couple of classes with Professor McCarthy and I have really learned a lot in both of them. He really works hard preparing for class and he is always in his office working if students have questions or need help. He is a good teacher and he is interesting in class. He is one of the students' favorite professors.

O.K. teacher - super easy grader - impossible to get ahold of outside class.

I am a business major and I have had every faculty member in the department for at least one course. Professor Harris is a very nice, easy-going person who is good at explaining difficult concepts in class. She is also a very easy grader (her tests were much easier than the tests in my high school accounting classes). I think she gives only A's and B's so I recommend her if you need a GPA boost. Only negative is that she is impossible to get ahold of outside class - she is never around if you need help or have questions.

Highly recommend - best teacher at Baker University.

I'm a business major and I have had every faculty member in the department for at least one class. Professor Green is, by far, the best overall teacher in the department (and it is a department with several very good teachers). He is also the toughest teacher in the business department, very demanding in terms of workload and very tough exams. But he has a way of inspiring students and getting students interested in the subject matter and fired up to learn. And he is great in class - only class I was never tempted to skip simply because I was afraid I would miss something.
