Wish it would have been here for me when I was enrolling for this course. This is being written to those students interested in taking this course with little or no understanding of the programs involved in the class.
I came into this course with the willingness to learn In Design and Quark Express as I have never had any training in either program. This professor assumes that because she knows the course like the back of her hand you should too, even if you just started learning the programs. She does not understand when you are having problems with something and doesnt like to go over what she tells you in class again if you are having problems. Just tells you to work on it some more and she will see if she will except it the next time she looks at it.
If you are late turning an assignment in she will take 50 % off the project no matter what the excuse is for it being late.
I would not recommend anyone taking any course from her as she is not very tactful in her teaching. I believe she needs to learn a little empathy and learn how to apply it to first time users.
I have had numerous classes at the tech center and would recommend any teacher on campus but believe students with no understanding of a program should not take a course from this professor.
I did learn a lot from this course but I did not do my best in other courses because I had to spend all my time working on assignments from this course. There was so much stuff that I didnt understand but was thankful that we did have good course materials that I fell back on and used to help me with my problems.

(lower grades no matter what)
Double Standard towards non-traditional elderly students with business of their own. (higher grades and late homework is okay, even offer to make copy of questions for these student to do their homework)

Homework & Test are all written. Really up to him to grade you. Depending on if he likes you.
