The class was easy. He is opinionated; he wanted more discussion in the class, but the few times someone thought differently he either misunderstood them, ignored them, or restated his point of view vs. actually discussing it. His lecture gave a lot of information, but was hard to take notes from, as it didn't seem to follow any format. He speaks from what he already knows and will often repeat things as he gets sidetracked adding this or that information. The class still helped raise new ideas and questions in psychology. Doesn't keep you in class if lecture is done, which is nice to not have your time wasted. Overall, was worth taking.

A good teacher, challenges, but is fair.

This is the second class I have had with her. Read review for 101. She has taken more time this semester to describe what she is looking for in an assignment. She has also set aside more class time to work with students individually. This class was a short-semester class which makes the workload, which is the same as all the other 102's, harder. I like that she has taken extra time this class to help each of us do our best with the amount of time there is.

She has expectations, but is fair.

She is very strict on attendance and basic courtsey rules, so make sure you are on time. She is tough but fair. If you complete the work, which is the same work required in all eng101 classes, attend class, and ask questions if you have them, you will do well. She is always willing to help, but her availability is slightly limited to certain times. Her syllabus defines clearly what is expected and when. However, in class description of assignment can be a little confusing. It pays to ask her specific questions regarding it.

A must take class.

He is a great, engaging teacher. The class is heavily participatory, with discussions each class. However, this is still enjoyable with the attitude set. Notes are posted on blackboard after the lecture which helps in case you missed anything. Weekly online quizzes are easy, tests are a little harder. Dr. Sexton is always available by email (1st), and phone and is willing to help however he can. I did not have a great interest in this subject, but have developed more of one due to this class.

One of best at wsu!

prepared, knowledgeable, and organized! what a change from most wsu instructors!
the syllabus from the opening class lets you know what is required, when, and what is expected. class lectures are organized with overhead notes, (typed) and followed by discussion of assigned readings. alternate points of view are discussed and encouraged. not always easy to get ahold of after class, but the need is limited due to quality of lecture.

Worthless

This guy is a joke. Students should get paid to take his class. He is so incompetent that he assigns the same homework each semester and will do the homework if you ask a question in class. He has to do it this way because he is incapable of teaching the material.
If you must take this class, get the old homework from someone that has taken the class. Don't waste your time reading the material, it won't help you do the homework or understand the lecture.

This man should be fired.
