Ms. Perelstein has worked as an anthropologist in the "real world" and brings the material to life in engaging, interesting manner.

I appreciate that she presented true-to-life implications and not just theories from a textbook.

"Tried and True" lecturer

Dr. Kanan's class provided me with a solid understanding of basic sociological concepts. He's a bit "old school" in terms of his teaching style, but and his lectures are easy to follow and even mildly entertaining.

Although I enjoyed this class, be warned! This is not an "easy A." He has strict attendance standards, and extensive studying is needed to do well on his tests. But it is worth it and you will get a lot out of it.

Outstanding Online Instructor.

Mary D., as she prefers to be called, possesses incredible online teaching skills. It is obvious from the first time you visit her class site that she has worked on this course for perhaps even thousands of hours. Her course was the last research class I was required to take in my doctoral studies, and probably the best of the course work required. I also took her class because it was online and I desired that experience. If you need to take a qualitative research class and have a desire to really learn about the field I believe you will find Mary to be one of the best instructors you have ever experienced.
