James made this fast paced class (CIS319) a lot less confusing. His extensive knowledge about software development was evident in the questions that he posed to the students and to the comments and answers he posted. He was quick to respond to questions, and was less cryptic that other professors have been in the online environment. He provided weekly lectures and Quizzes that focused the students to the material being covered. He made this class a pleasure to take.

Jim is a good teacher. His Syllabus is a little scary, but he is not as strict as he presents himself. The major problem that I had with him is that his presence is almost nil in the newsgroups. He usually posts your grades a week or more after you have completed the week. Overall, his class was manageable. I would take another class from him.
