Mr. Durbin is a very likeable, personable instructor, pleasant and friendly. However, his teaching leaves an awful lot to be desired. His lectures were taken from the textbook, and he mostly was "winging it" when lecturing. He was very unclear about his expectations for the class project, as well as far as what his tests would be like and how his grading scale was applied. I was disappointed with this class. I feel like I learned very little and wasted time and money taking this class.

A very good instructor who does not take advantage of all the resources the school has to offer. This class could be much better if he would have a computer in the classroom. The school has the equipment, he just doesn't use it. All of his exams are take home. You have to have access to a *nix box for the homework, however the school has one you can use, but you cannot telnet to it from outside the campus network.
