One of the nicect teachers I have ever met. Gives a fair amound of tests and quizzes, but I felt that I didn't do enough work in the class for the quarter. If you are very good at math and want an easy quarter, take Birken!

excellent prof for people who are not the best at math. explains concepts really well. although , for people more proficient at math , she can be a bit frustrating

Too easy, if you want to get more out of your math courses than only a good grade. You can get an A only by memorizing methods shown in class. A plus: the Mathematica labs.
