Well, embrace his class...

OK y'all - listen: this is a great class - especially if you need a (P) math goal. You will still have to get yourself to every class and listen and do the homework - it is NOT a crip class at all - but it is satisfying.

The tests come DIRECTLY from the lecture material. The lecture is directly from the homework. There are NO TRICKS here. Just do ALL OF THE HOMEWORK - and then the next day he will go over all the homework - and if you pay attention you will definitely learn logic.

Dr Caste is a dear and wonderful human being. He is funny and irreverent and solid. He will do anything he can to help students succeed. I thoroughly enjoyed his course. I needed a 90 on the final to make an A in the course - but could have made as low as a 50 and still had a B for the course. I have a life for heaven's sake! and I did not KILL myself studying for the final - if I had studied like I should have I would have had an A - I just had to weigh the time spent against all the other stuff I have to do. So coming out of this class with a B is great - and I am a TOTAL NON-MATH PERSON!

Take this class. You will be glad. You will laugh in class and have fun.

Great Man. Great Class. Take it. The lectures are clear and go right by the homework. He goes over every single homework problem the next day. Then the tests are from the homework. He gives Exact examples of every kind of problem that will be on the test. Just make sure not to miss any classes so you won't miss any material. He is not mean. There are no harsh rules. Just use common sense and manners. He is not tricky and really wants you to succeed. Dr C is funny and gets offtrack with great stories about the olden days that you will love and probably learn from too. He knows much and will give you a lot. He learns everybody's name right away and slyly picks on you in a kind way to include you. He will laugh and make you laugh too. If you want to learn logic, or get a math goal without having a stroke, or be included in a nice group of people, then take Dr Caste. (You can also tell that he is a great dad too)

Caste is a great professor. He is an extremely nice, easygoing professor. His teaching style is very relaxed. Tests were multiple choice and came strictly from the notes. Material and the way he presents it is very interesting. He has a way of simplifying things which makes them easy to absorb and remember.

Deductive Logic counts as a problem solving goal at UNCC, if you are like me and "math-retarded" this class is the only prayer of fulfilling this goal after squeaking by College Algebra. Dr. Caste teaches you math like stuff without you knowing it. I have yet to make below a 99 on my tests, I don't know of anyone who is failing either. As long as you show up to class, you will understand and do well. Dr. Caste is a very loveable cartoon-esque man who will make you laugh and pick on you at will.
