This teacher is a nice guy, but not a very effective teacher. All lectures are done in PowerPoint in a semi-dark room. He tends to drone on and on about a topic and no one knows what he is talking about. He also has a strange habit when talking- it sounds like he is sucking in saliva or something- it tends to get annoying after awhile. Don't bother asking a question, usually he won't understand the question no matter how many times you ask, and even when he does understand, he never really gives an adequate answer. For example, in response to something he said, I told him the book said that that item has a one-to-one relationship between elements. He said yes, that's true, a one on one side and a many on the other side. Obviously he either didn't understand my question, or he was a little scatterbrained at the time. The worst teaching area is when you get to SQL. He shows you what you can do with SQL and Visual Basic, but doesn't show you HOW to do it. You're left trying to read the book (useless), his downloadable notes (very jumbled), or figuring it out yourself. Overall, like I said he is a nice guy and I have nothing against him, his teaching style is just awkward and frustrating at times.
