Ed Hopper

Dr. Hopper is an excellent instructor as well as an overall great guy. By no means is he a push-over; you will have to work to earn a good grade. I really recommend taking this phonetics class, because it counts as a 4000-level class within the Spanish major. Spanish phonetics is really interesting, moreover it will help so much with your pronunciation of the Spanish language.

Dr. Hopper is tough, but his class is worth it. NO spoon feeding here. You will work for your "A". Prove yourself to him and you are in good. He will reward hard work with a friendly attitude and a good grade or recommendation if you need it. I struggled, slaved and cursed through this class, but I now see the benefit. If you are a serious Spanish student, you would do well to take a class with him. He will teach you a lot (just be willing to learn.)This class is not for the weak at heart.
