Coral Wayland

This class was great!! Dr. Wayland assigned us reading materials and let us run with it. The students were totally in control of class discussions and they were (almost always) very lively. Dr. Wayland is very learned in public health and disease issues and really inspired myself, as well as other students, to learn more about the politics of health care around the world.

Dr. Wayland was certainly not the worst professor I have ever had, but her lectures were a bit lacking. I felt like I should have gotten an A in the class (because all of my grades were As) but I got a B. I felt as if she struggled really hard to justify giving me a B instead of an A. I am not really sure why she would want to do that, but it really seemed the case. A professor who does that has got to be some kind of creep.

Wayland's lectures are always clear, organized and easy to follow. She provides exam study guides, and what will go on in her class is never a surprise. Very predictable and even interesting. Exam material is never a surprise. She speaks clearly and seems to be really interested in what she teaches. Provides examples that students can relate to.
