This was a great class. Professor Pare is very knowledgeable in the subject of women's history and she lectures very well on the subject. Class participation was fondly encouraged and there were some very interesting discussions that came as a result of that encouragement. Exams consist of 2-3 essay questions and 10 short identifications. Much reading is involved in the course, but for the most part it's interesting reading. One term paper of about 6-10 pages is required on any subject you choose as long as it has to do with women in some way. Professor Pare also does her best to make things as convenient as possible for her students from extending deadlines to changing the exam format. Both men and women should take this course to enlighten themselves on the continued oppression of women in the United States.
