A fantastic teacher!

I had Monsieur Blair for the spring semester and walked away learning a ton. He always made the class interesting and the lectures weren't too slow or too fast. I really appreciate how he calls on every student in the class to answer homework questions because this forces you to exercise your French instead of just passively sitting back and listening. In addition to that, he's well-versed in French culture, having lived there before, and will teach you much about French life.

Since the class is composed mostly of working adults and a handful of full-time students, he's well aware of the fact that people have busy lives. As such, he never offers us more homework than we can handle- assignments usually don't take more than half an hour or 45 minutes of your time each night. Attendance isn't counted but he does notice if you are habitually absent since the class is pretty small (most people never continue all the way to 4th semester French).

Exams are straightforward and easily passable with a bit of studying the night beforehand. Homework is RARELY collected so most of your grade is based on exams.
