I agree with the earlier poster... this woman can NOT speak English and it's frustrating trying to learn algebra period! Without having to translate! Her voice is annoying and she drones on and on...

I dropped her class after a month, just took a 'W' to get the heck outta there! I had an 'A' in Math 840 and Math 850 and was FAILING her class! I had NO idea what was going on. She would backtrack a lot, start on one section, then move on only to return to the first section because she 'forgot' to teach us something. She likes to 'trick' you with really tough answers on quizzes with weird fractions too. You can do homework till you are blue in the face and 1) you won't learn anything, and 2) it doesn't count for anything!

I swear, sitting in that class for 3 hours made me want to shove a pencil in my eye! She does seem like a sweet person, but the WORST algebra teacher I have ever had the displeasure of meeting!

I know that we are a diverse bunch here at City College, and I understand budget cuts.. but come on, can't you get an ADVANCED algebra teacher who can speak English?

Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure she's a very lovely person. but it is my time you are wasting by hiring folks who

A. Can't teach well because B. they can't speak English

I feel robbed of my pre-calculus experience.

-What she does teach, she teaches STRAIGHT from the book. Literally, word for word. You could buy it and learn it on your own time. Hell, I could teach the class..

-If you want original examples, and real human explanation, forget it.

- She is NEGLIGENT. She passed out the exam answer key before giving someone who missed the test the makeup exam. And of course they cheated, word for word (brilliant huh?)..anyway, she catches this not-so-sly individual, and gets all bent out of shape and wonders how it happened.. A cheaters haven.

one plus one is slowly equaling three.. don't take her class, run for your life.
