Good guy, decent class.

Jardim is an okay teacher, he knows his stuff and is very passionate about it. But there was just some link missing between what was said in lecture and whats on the hw and tests. The hws were very ambiguous, it is copies from another textbook's problems and he doesnt tell you what he wants done. His tests are all scantron and much more straightfoward than the hws. He gives ec on the tests and midterm but not on the final. Lastly, there are his jokes, which are only funny because he loves them but no one laughs. If you ever want to get him off topic, tell him about a news story with the latest genetic study and he'll go off on how stupid these people are that write the studies. Or tell him about people who are agaisnt geneticailly modified foods. He'll go on a tirade for 15 minutes about how idiotic people are that only eat "organic" foods, because all food is geneticailly modified.

A Fantastic teacher

I was searching for a class to add when I sat down in GEN10 with P. Jardin. After the first lecture I knew I had found the class that I wanted, and I promptly signed up for the Genetics Lab. Jardin is a fantastic teacher because he really loves the material that he teaches, and it really shows in his lectures. The work in the class is easy, and he gives a good amount of time to do it. THe tests are summerized in his study guide and are really easy if you have studied the material. He even has a bunch of extra credit on the tests. His grading is by the book with a slight curve. A great class that will teach you a lot about the instruction of life. If you are going to take Bio101A this class will help you out a lot.
