Extremely disorganized

What teacher walks out of the class without announcing her departure? Diane Nakaji. Half the class was sleeping...

No syllabus, no expectations until she returns the assignment to you. Even then, she gives a grade she feels like and doesn't explain why. Not to mention how much work she gave out for no reason.

Every class, she made the class teach themselves by 'working in groups to discuss the articles'. Then she simply asks people to volunteer (minus the volunteer part) their stories and she comments on them.

When she 'lectures' it's simply reading off of a piece of paper. She pretends to listen to the student who askes a question or makes a suggestion, but she then dismisses their point or completely neglects what they said afterwards. WTF? Her lectures are everywhere. It's like pulling non-congruent ideas out of her ass. Extremely disorganized and poor legibility.

I really want a refund. I should have went to this site before taking her class. She is definitely one of the worst teachers I've met.

This class was about learning how to deal with stress. It just gave me more stress.

What a waste of time!!

This was a horrible experience. Ms. Nakaji is not a teacher that any student should want to take. She lacks in teaching ability, and it makes one question if she is actually licensed to teach. To start off with she wasted about a month of class time making the class watch stupid videos and do group work. To make up for lack of sticking to her syllabus, she piled on the work. Her lectures were all over the place, and when you leave class your wondering what am I doing here and why am I wasting my time. On the plus side her tests are fairly easy and she gives you all the questions in a before test review. But that doesn't make up for the fact that every class you go to, is time you will never get back!

If I wanted to know about her religious beliefs, I would have asked!

All F reviews are hidden right now. They will be back shortly.

Diane Nakagi, the born-again psychology teacher with a hideous singing voice.

Diane needs to take some refresher courses in her field. In several instances, she admitted that she did not know the material. Her lectures were disorganized and uninteresting, and her handwriting was poor. The tests were insultingly easy. The class & writing assignments asked for a lot of personal history that many felt uncomfortable sharing. On the last day of class, before we could take our final, Diane professed that she was a born-again Christian. She then sang a Christian song. Many students were very uncomfortable with this. Many other students were offended by this. It is unethical for a community college professor to force a class to listen to a Christian song before they are allowed to take their final. It was also a painful experience...I give Diane an F for her contribution to the musical arts. It is a tradition she should consider giving up.
