Frank Parigi

Out of all the teachers I have tried for English 94, Parigi's teaching style and personality really stood out. He tried his best to make the class interesting and motivational. He randomly selects students to take part in the class discussions. He is upset when a student does not make a geniune effort to think about the subject matter at hand. He appreciates all student participation. Make sure you bring your books and materials when asked to and complete all your assignments. Don't miss more than three class meetings and make sure you show up for your student conference with all graded assignments.

somethings about him is that he makes stupid jokes...not funny... stop that... other than that good guy. don't piss him of though... student started to disrespect him in class and he was dropping them like flies. Grading system is pretty fair, but don't know if he is going to change it... he's a part time teacher @ ccsf and first time teacher in the fall of 03.

Dr.Frank Parigi is a really great teacher at ccsf. He taught and maybe still does, english 94. There were really really simple tests which revolved around the homework which would be like maybe up to 30 mins of reading if you actually read it all, or no more than 5-10 if you skim the reading a couple times. thats all the homework was most of the time, to read a little about grammar and what not. he might have asked us to bring in like a page or writing we found on someone to introduce us into our new topic that wed write about. He was very good at getting a point across and would always try to keep the class alive by throwing a little extra humor in. Sadly to say, my class was really really unresponsive, when hed ask a question he would usually end up answering it. He was a really cool teacher though. we never really had projects except to maybe find something which was homeowrk. his handwriting wasnt too too shabby but it didnt make that much of a difference. With him as the teacher of my english class i feel ive discovered something, the class makes the teacher. Now of course this isnt always true but like, we didnt talk alot so i guess it made the class boring cause only he would talk. For some odd reason there was barely any interaction between us students and him. Sometimes he might talk about things that were slightly unrelated to english but he wouldnt go on tangents and sometimes hed talk about just stuff which was a slight bit odd, but, he was still really cool. so hopefully if you do choose to have a class with him your fellow students may be a little more vocal and complete that student teacher bond.
