A. Pastore

It's been ages since I've had an instructor as engaging and enthusiastic as Mme. Pastore. She takes her students' success seriously without taking herself too seriously. She is cosmopolitan, opinionated, demanding, and more than fair as a teacher. Her "lectures" are interesting and span from history to pop culture and everything in between. She encourages active in-class involvement and keeps things going at a brisk, yet comfortable pace. If you're interested in French and are ready to get down and dirty while having fun, then Pastore is for you. If you're the type of student who's unmotivated and expects the instructor to do all the work and to expect very little in the way of class participation, then look elsewhere; Pastore is great, but she won't take any shit from lazy, spoiled students.

I think Mrs. Pastore is a very good teacher...her lecture is easy to understand,fun,and she is so energetic..she is very negotiable in many situations for example: make-up tests, absences,etc....she gives homework almost everyday..but only severals that you need to turn in..there are some quizes, and there is a test in every chapter..you'll learn a lot from her...i encourage all of you to take her class..

I have learned very much from Professor Pastore's class and can't wait to take more classes from her. She has a wonderful sense of humour and is very popular with the students. In the past year I have only heard high praise for her and never negative comments. She possesses a rare combination of being very strong in teaching grammar (with is usually painfully dull), but teaches with fun and laughter.

Mme. Pastore is not only one of the best instructors I've had, she's also one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever met. Along with an infectious enthusiasm and a wicked sense of humor, she also has a genuine concern and respect for her students as well as a genuine love of teaching. I wish there were more instructors like her.

This woman is an absolute bitch. All I can think of is that she must be a very miserable person, because I really cannot understand her attitude. I think if it weren't for that, and the fact that she goes a little too fast sometimes, she could actually be a very good teacher- which makes it more of a shame. She ridicules students in class for asking simple questions, makes people feel stupid at every chance she gets, has absolutely zero patience, and I don't know how she manages to continue working here.
