This teacher is a picky person. Although he is a polite, kind person, he is boring and can get annoyed easily. Morover, it not easy to get an A or B in his class. He is very picky about your essays because he just recently became an ESL teacher. He used to teach in the English Department. When he grades ESL students, he always grades very hard ( no grammar or spelling mistakes ) He will count every mistake that you write wrong.
After finishing his classes, he dosen't have enough time to talk to the students who want to ask him questions unless they make an appointment. Also, he doesn't give his E-mail address for students to contact him. He might have forgotten to put his E-mail adress on the CCSF website.
He accepts late homework, but he will drop your grade for turning it in late. He doesn't know how to teach ESL students. For example, when he checks the essays, he just writes "see errors", and the number of your mistakes from your essay. He doesn't explain how to improve our writing.
On the other hand, he is doing his job, and he is not a bad teacher just because he gives you a C or D. He wants his students to do well although they have to take the same class again and again until ESL students who take his class can write English as well as native speakers.
