Prepare to earn your grade

Sharon Zakus is a great teacher. She made learning the subject material fun and interesting. This course is by no means easy; you'll have to earn your grade, but you will benefit with all of the knowledge that you will have gained. The only advice that I could offer to a student in her class is to keep up with the reading and take good notes. As far as her tests and quizzes go, the questions asked are similiar to those found on nursing exams (not surprising, as she was a nurse practitioner if I recall correctly).

Nice teacher but tough course!

About the teacher: Sharon Zakus is a very nice teacher. She always has such a nice personality (and nice outfits, too!) She never gets angry at students though she does not like late comers. She does not want class skipping either, but she does let students to make up absences by studying and taking notes from materials in the media center. About the class material: there are a lots of handouts, plus you have to read the textbook as well. About tests : There are two midterm exams (75 multiple-choice questions/each), one final (150 multiple-choice questions), plus one in-class quiz (23 multiple-choice questions), and one take-home quiz (35 multiple-choice questions). In addition, there are so many other assignments that you have to do to get good grade, such as attending 2 workshops at the library, presenting two articles in front of the class, keeping track with some other projects and homework.

The last thing that I want to emphasize here is : for those who get the answers from previous semesters, WATCH OUT! Because from now on (Fall 2003), she changes the test questions! For example, for the 2nd midterm exam, there are about 90% of students in my class got "F"! So if you are planning to take her class, be prepared, and study hard!

I think I've given out enough information about the course and teacher. The last words are GOOD LUCK to you all!
