Brian is by far the best math instructor I've ever had. I honestly don't enjoy math very much. I get very frustrated and confused in math class. I had Brian as my teacher for my last math course ever to transfer, statistics. Although in some ways it was still hell, Brian made is better. He is fun and entertaining to watch as a teacher. He is fair as far as the homework assigned and he gives outstanding lectures. Also, he told the class that he is dislexic and I was really impressed that he is a math proffessor. If you have to take math take it with Brian. He's an excellent teacher.

Math teachers like Brian are few and far between.I've always cared little for Math and only take it because it is required to complete work for an undergraduate degree. Brian's approach is gentle , low key and laced with humor. He is patient and willing to spend time with a student to help them understand a difficult concept. He is an excellent mathematician and a nice person. To me Brian represents what an ideal instructor could and should be.Any student taking a class of his is lucky. Unfortunately, COM in its infinite wisdom has seen fit to not offer any classes with Brian in Fall 03. More's the pity.
