Leon Faure

Mr faure is a kind person but his tests and quizes are hard. his lectures and somewhat based on the text books but not everything. overall he is ok for any math class.

Mr. Faure is the most wonderful person in the world and possibly the best teacher I have ever had. I don't remember when was the last time I have such a fantastic teacher ever. Even though I didn't get very good grades in his classes, but I have never learned more. He is so concern about his students that people usually called him "Father Faure". He is so logical at times that people called him "Dr. Logic". Finally, his tests are so hard that people also called him "Dr.Death". I don't think you will be used to other Math teachers after you have taken him. His fluency of Mathematics really a fundamental element of teaching students well. And beyond that, I give a lot of credit of how he sacrifice his own time or extra time to students. He holds more office hours than any professors I have known. Besides everything I have said, his charisma and talent about teaching is something that you don't find it in other professors and I guess that's something that you have to born with. Oftentimes, it's really rare to find a professor that's funny, good, knowledgable, talented, nice, honest and considerate. Well, he really has it all!!!!

Faure is the best math professor I have ever had. He speaks concisely, and if you don't get it he is willing to work with you until you do get it. Clear handwriting, challenging exams and quizes. He has a rough and tough Harley exterior -- don't be late or he may kick you out. He is serious about seating charts and attendance. Don't BS this guy becasue he has a nose for BS. This guy is excellent at teaching, strategy, and conveying ideas. He doesn't care who you are and what kind of personality you have -- if you want to learn math, he will teach you and he is fair. If you are disruptive, he will throw you out in a second. Calculus 253 is a challenging class -- he made it easy to understand.
