Dr. Armstead is humerous and teaches well. She is sometimes disorganized, but I enjoyed her course.

She was rarely organized with lectures and was tardy to some classes. Her exams are so difficult that even the take home exams most people's average grade was a C+. Some of her exam questions had questionably two correct answers, so make sure you go over your own exams! All of her lectures come from slides from the book. I have yet to have such difficult exams with a teacher who has a reasonably good personality and humor. *Though, one must take into account that this term Fall 2003 her mother passed away and this might be the source of her disorganization!

I actually had Dr. Armstead for 465 and 460. She is a very nice lady. 465 is actually really interesting if you like learning about health issues and is pretty easy. She doesn't like to give take homes anymore, but she makes her tests fair. Don't take 460 unless you are willing to work really hard and like biology. A lot of people complained about various issues with her, but overall I think she was a fair professor and it was one of the few classes I actually enjoyed going to.

This class is horrible. Dr. Armstead is very unprepared. Her lectures are her reading notes that she took from the book. They have nothing to do with what is on the exams. The exams are impossible. Yes, she gave one take home exam but people still did poorly. One exam she had to give a 23 point curve just so 90% of the class didn't fail. She is very difficult to reach outside of class. She did not follow her syllabus at all, the first day of class she didn't even bring it. Her lectures are pointless to attend because she does put the notes up on Blackboard but those aren't useful anyways. She is a nice lady but horrible teacher.

this class was so easy! first test, take home, 2nd in class test with open book, and final was take home! she's a great teacher who will help you out too! recommend!
