Mrs. O'Leary is a great teacher, willing to help students in any way possible. She is always available and has study sessions before the exams. There is a lot of homework, but you will find the homework problems on the exams. The class is very fast, one should be prepared to take notes and study outside of class, because everything does not get covered in class. Anyone who is really bad in math, should take her because she more than willing to help. Also she gives you 5 points for attending every class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS WOMAN!!! She seems to know alot about math by the way she talks but she really doesn't know what she's talking about!!! Her explanations don't make any sense whatsoever!!!! She tries to make these help sessions but when you go, she confuses you more! If you are wise, you will not take her for any kind of mathematics!

She is an amazing person and truly understands where her students are coming from. She even cooks dinner for her U101 students! And she can cook! She lets her students pick some of the optional course material and if you come to the class with an open mind and go to the extra events with the class you will most likely have fun.

She gets off topic too often. Does not go over material sometimes. Really nice person, but a little demeaning. Willing to answer questions.

I have never had a teacher teach me math as clearly as she has. This stuff is not easy but somehow she knows exactly how to state it and make it clear the first time around. She offers many quizzes but drops a couple of the lowest ones. They are on the most recent lesson. There are 2 exams but they weren't terribly hard and long. Homework is not graded but if you keep up with it, you are totally prepared for any quizzes, exams, etc. She offers "boardwork points" for problems completed on the board during class. Great way to get extra credit! She also gives extra credit for giving blood at the Caroling/Clemson blood drive.

Made sure every student had the opportunity to learn the material and make a good grade. Gave lots of opportunities for extra credit and reviews before tests.

I gave Mrs. Mary Ellen an A+ for exams b/c there weren't any, the only one we had was an exam about what we thought of the class so far. There were maybe three quizzes, but they were really easy. There are weekly journals due, but they too are easy. The thing that I will probably remember always about this class is that we had to go over to her house for dinner one night. I thought it was really odd at first but i have recently decided that when i become a teacher I want to do something similar. This is a really great class, even if it was simply put a social activity. The only serious work we had to do was our final project but that was a mere four page paper (double spaced) and a powerpoint presentation. OH SO EASY!

Ms. O'leary is Awesome for Calculus 1! I definitely recommend her, she is great with explaining math and very cheerful personality too. She also is very willing to help out outside of class, especially right before an exam, where she makes review classes, and she also hands out practice sheets and review sheets as well.

Mrs. O'Leary knows math, but her classes are extremely hard. What she teaches in class is not what is on the quizzes and tests. She never goes over the homework ever. She is patronizing to the students and takes up class time for personal anecdotes.

Mrs. O'Leary really has helped me to enjoy math. I always hated math all through high school. However, she didn't plan too well, so we had a pile up of work at the end of the semester. Other than that I advice anyone to take her class.

Overall, she is a good professor. There are two notable problems: 1)She tends to patronize her students occasionally. 2)Homework is not very well organized...sometimes you will have an assignment covering material that has not been gone over in class. Your grade is slightly affected by this. In general, she is a very good professor - I would recommend this class to anyone who is not a big math fan who has to take the class.

Mrs. O'leary is a teacher who knows her stuff and cares about her students. I have had her for two semesters of calculus and would recommend her to anyone. If you put the time into this class you will do well. Mrs. O'leary is a busy lady so you might have trouble catchig her, but she's always willing to help you out. Her exams are representative of the class material covered and are very fair. The only problem I have with her homework is that we don't always cover enough material in class to do the assignment. Then we might not have time to go over the homework in the next class, and those homework problems have a way of getting left blank. Other than that, it's an awesome class. I'm not a math fan, but this was a very well taught class.
