Collects homework everyday and returns them promptly the next day. Goes over homework thoroughly. Explains problems clearly, but does not give away answers. Gives around 14-15 pop quizzes so that student would be able to gauge how well he/she's doing. Only top 10 quizzes count. She's big on practical applications and building fundamental calculus skills such as recognizing graphs without using calculators. Student will be prepared for next level and have easier time with 1B when class is completed, but her class is challenging. Her office hours are usually swamped with students; so it is often hard to get one-on-one attention, but that is because she's easily accessible. She is quite open and honest. First impressions were that of an instructor that was distant and easily irritable. However, after going to her office hours and getting to know her, I found out that she's one of the nicest instructors who cares about her students in a profound way.
