W.L. Ventis

The class is all lecture. A lot of what he lectures about is already covered in the text, therefore, it makes the class easier. The reading is about a chapter (~60 pages) per week. He gives three exams, and they are pretty fair, but you have to read the text! It is pretty easy to fall asleep, but overall, the class is pretty good. The subject matter is what makes it interesting, not the professor.

Despite the interesting subject matter, Prof. Ventis is somewhat dry and his lectures can be quite boring; however, he does make occassional attempts at humor--a few of which are successful. His exams are straight from the lectures and book and (besides a few confusingly worded questions) aren't difficult. Overall, he's a nice guy and seems to be pretty fair.
