FAQs

How is the Class Structured? - This is totally lecture based, if you are the type of student that prefers teachers to explain thing to you, and then youll find this class easy.

How is the Mid term & Final - Everyday, Roger will write notes on the board and then lecture on each subject. If you take notes during lecture then the tests will be a breeze. I took summer class, so he gave 1 Mid-term 1 Final.

How are the test Questions? - All essay questions, first five are usually identifying Laws/definitions and how did it affect people. (only takes 2 sentences to answer) Next, 3 essay questions - they can be answered if you can just recall lecture/notes. He's a little picky, just make sure you highlight which race the law effected. - If you did poorly on the test, you can rewrite your answer and get a slightly higher grade.

How is the lecture? - He lectured for 3 hrs straight before so bring some coffee (subject matter is all interesting though) - He does asks questions in class, if you're one of those students that like to raise their hand and give the answer then just read the assigned reading. (this is only during the first weeks of class) the rest of the in class questions are critical thinking.

Homework? - NONE!

Attendance? - He doesnt care, however he will notice if you're not there! He remembers names very well!

Teacher's Pet-Peeves? - Raise you hand in class! 20% of grade counts on participation - He does not like it when students text message in class, and will tell the class if he sees students doing so.

Turning in papers late? - He doesn't mind if you turn papers in late, there were 2 journals due (doesn't have to be essay), I turned mine in on time, so I don't know if he deducts points.

Teachers Personality? - Very nice easy going, will take his time to explain things - He doesn't like it when no one raises their hands in class - Easy on the eyes - He's a young teacher with mesy hair dew - He reminds me of the movie "Never Been Kissed" of the English teacher that Drew berrymoore liked; except he's the Asian version.

This was an easy class for me, as long as I paid attention.
