This instructor definitely should not teach PhD courses. She has no concept of adult learner theory. The course content was interesting (even though she uses the same material for several semesters)but the delivery of the instruction was horrible. I think if this instructor would listen to the students a little more and interact with them she could have made this course far more interesting. This instructor acted as if she was doing the student favor just by gracing us all with her presence. She was extremely condescending and made several off-color ill-timed jokes (a failed attempt at humor.) She did not even bother to notice no one was laughing. This instructor could use a course in teaching. Personality certainly helps!
