A true credit to the teaching profession

Larry Elowitz, PhD is a gifted lecturer with the ability to involve all student's in the feedback process. He is a stern task master and dislikes large classes. As an example, one of his 400 level classes had an unusually large number of non-major students who had heard that he was quite entertaining. Upon seeing the large number on the first day, his speech was something like "There will be three class projects, at least two major papers due, 6 major essay exams, and by the way, I have just learned the Farsi language and have decided to teach the course using only this language" Once all the drops had left, the class was more fun and manageable for him. If you want a free ride, stay away. If you want to hone your debating skills, learn to synthesize and process large amounts of knowledge and perhaps improve your chances for law school, he is a "must take". And yes, he keeps things light.
