Garcia will lecture the entire length of the class, so be sure to take notes because it's your best bet in passing his class. His exams consist of a written essay, multiple choice questions, and a definition area. If you attend classes regularly and study, his exams are fine. On the other hand, if you cut often and don't take notes... you might as well drop (or find yourself a sucker who will let you borrow notes). He knows his subject and you can tell by his lectures he enjoys teaching it. If you are interesting in actually learning history and not afraid of doing work, take his class.
