Wendy Miyake

Keep an open mind and you'll definitely enjoy Wendy Miyake's class. She's even written her own book and if you've read it you'd know she knows her stuff. Do your work, participate in class, and just try you're best is all you need to do. You should also know she has a fresh sense of humor that allows her to keep the class fresh and interesting. Highly recommending instructor.

She loves writing and teaches the class to love it as well. There were very few assignments except for the projects due at the end of each section (monologue/short story/poetry). Her intention was to get us all to write and keep doing that. I think she did it. Her class is very open and very good. She gives us all room for discussion that is of great use to the beginning writer.

This teacher has no idea what she is talking about. Figures, she is almost the same age as most of her students. The writing assignments were interesting. However, she does not know how to instruct the class. She is also very narrow-minded. While in discussion with her students, she is adamant that she is right, and refuses to see otherwise. Watch out.
