Kay Porter

Experience putting together a magazine either in print or online, depending on the semester by taking this class. I enjoyed learning the ins and outs of magazine production and having Kay Porter as my instructor made it even more enjoyable. She is very skillful and knowledgeable. Her dedication to Harvest Magazine is evident in everything she does. Her lectures were informative and the homework assignments were practical. She is approachable and very easy to talk with. I consider her not only an instructor of mine, but also a valued friend.

I think that creative writing class was interesting but sometimes I felt that I could not be creative they way I wanted to be. Ms. Porter had her own ideas and if they were not met then you did not get the grade. Her lectures did not give you any information that you could not get from reading the book.
