Not for shy or unmotivated students!

Diana Rodriguez is not a bad person. Let me say that first off. She is sweet and loves her students dearly. She is however extremely extroverted. And so happy, it might just grate on your nerves. In her excitement, Senorita Rodriguez tended to ramble...and she had an accent. It was a nightmare, trying to figure out what this woman was saying! How bad was her espanol? She would lapse into Spanish, and not a little bit. I'm talking whole sentences. I got quickly overwhelmed. I am a deathly shy person. She's not. Not exactly the best combination. If your like me, you should stay away. Now I knew that oral participation, would have been a factor. But she focuses way too much on it. She also needs to lecture. An example: she started every class with an irritating game. Where everyone introduces themselves in Spanish. Then recants the other classmate's name. The game itself took a good fifteen to twenty minutes! It was all because she's bad with names. I hate when professors show obvious laziness. Now I know, I began this review saying she's sweet and friendly. And it certainly is true. But let's say, you got her syllabus and didn't meet her personally. You would think she was an unreasonable witch! My goodness, she is very demanding. She places her exams, four together total, less than a month apart. And the text is a joke! She also has pop quizes as well. If Spanish is new to you, Plazas (the text) will not help much. I'm not kidding. She also expects you to do labs. In which you are to go to the Learning Resource Center. And do corrections to recently completed tests. You must record your lab use. What if you decide not to do it? Your overall grade will be reduced. She says it won't hurt. But if your grade is on the brink. This could only serve to hurt you. To me this is just tedious. Don't take her, unless you are one hundred percent devoted to learning Spanish! You cannot slack off even once. Sure there is extra credit, but it's only worth five percent! So don't get lazy. You also cannot be shy. No way, no how. You will speak whether you want to or not. And don't you dare miss five classes in a row! If you don't have a decent excuse, she won't let you take the final.
