Everyone who didn't like Steve are part of either one of these categories: you were absent too often, you didn't work or you didn't listen to Steve in class. He gives his half, the other half is up to the student.

Stephen White enables stidents to learn easier and relaxely. He uses many examples and repeates until all students understand. I found it very good and helpfull.

The only complaint that I had with his class was that the students were only given an detailed outline of the final project a few weeks before it was due. Perhaps that was because he needed to continually repeat other lessons because of a few students who never understood. He would always take the time to explain it to them. he even gave out his home phone number so that students could get a hold of him on the weekend. I felt that he graded me fairly.

Unlike other students, I had no problem with this teacher. Actually thats not true, the only problem I had was that he kept trying over and over again to explain stuff to the student that didnt understand something even when it seemed pretty clear to everyone else. Its not really a flaw in him, most teachers wouldnt bother but it just seemed that it was always the same 2 or 3 students who wasted class time and that he should have just asked them to leave or get tutors. The only thing I would advise is that he be more firm with his students. His assignments were ok and he even gave extensions often when many students asked for them. He was available after class and even gave his home phone number if we needed it to ask him questions on any given assignment. As for his exams, it was more than simple to do them. He even reviewed the material before handing the test. I would gladly take him again.

This teacher presented the information properly, making it quite easy to take good notes in class. I can't say that he had my attention at all times, but his method of teaching is straight forward and easy to understand. There isn't very much interaction in the classroom though, which makes the lectures kind of long. He doesn't give very much homework at all, but his tests are pretty tough. Nonetheless, they are always identical in format which makes it easier to study and prepare for the next ones. So besides the long lectures, the class itself isn't that bad, it's actually quite interesting.

Where to begin. Steve is a boastful behavioralist who cannot seem to accept any other method. Every class he manages to slip in about 5 mentions of the University of Kentuky basketball team. This would be ok but he does it right in the middle of talking about course material!!..also he lets the basketball players do whatever they want in his classroom. It happened often that one basketball player would spin and dribble the ball in class without his intervention. He leaves the classroom frequently and doesnt care about cheating...since students would do it right in front of his face...WHY IS HE THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Well, first off, he's boring. Secondly, in Qm, he doesnt know what he's talking about. Thirdly, he'll assign stuff he's never taught then test you on it. Other points: he stutters, and manages to edge the subject of basketball in there at least 3 times a class, and dispears during class and reappears 10 minutes later with a tray full of cafeteria food. oh, and those computer lab sessions? you're better off asking jeeves, than your teacher. He just don't know. And instead of cancelling class when he's absent, he gets a sub. although, that isn't so bad, because the subs, at least, can teach. Something he can't. if you want to pass Qm, understand Qm, and manage to do well in future methodology classes, take another teacher. oh, and he calls all his students by last names (thanks for all the respect, White!), and has been known to call female student by the logo written across their chests. Hmm. over all, he's not horrible, but if you can avoid his Qm class, do so.
