Better off a cheerleader

This was one of the worst FNR professors that teach at Purdue. Her group projects are elementary and could be done individually in a day or two. (ex: come up with 5 questions for a election candidate and summarize answers) She never answers questions posed to her, she beats around the bush and its obvious she doesn't know the answer. Don't count on getting homework and grades back at a reasonable time either, there are still papers that I don't know the grade of. Her TA, does better work then she does. There's a reason that great professors have only one job, they're dedicated. Perhaps she should fall back on her Indy Colts cheerleader job.

Great teacher/Tough class, but very thorough

This was an excellent class. She was very effective teacher and provided real life applications and interesting examples for environmental policies. She knows her stuff and communicates effectively. It also seemed that she really cared about the students in class and their progress and was open to change. For example, the mean on one of our three exams was below a 70 and to be fair, she curved the exam. She had limited office hours, but they (prof and TA) always promptly answered my questions via e-mail (I usually got a response within a few hours). I felt like the class, while very detail oriented, was also very applied in terms of what we were learning. Over the semester she really tried to help us learn group work, communication, writing, and analysis skills that will be of great value later on, it is those life lessons that I take away from this class.

overall good course on policy

Class was definitely hard, but I learned a lot. Liked the current events homework assignments and group projects. Although I hate working in groups, I did get a lot out of learning to work with other people. Professor had an okay personality, some topics were fun to learn about, others were boring. Dr. Broussard often had to deal with rude, bitchy people in class but handled it as well as can be expected. Overall good course, would recomend it.

An awesome teacher, very personable

One of the best classes I have taken at Purdue! Group projects were fun and helped us learn how to solve real-world problems that we could be faced with in our future careers. Professor did a GREAT job putting up with whiney students who piss and moan when asked to think for themselves. The one thing I hated about this class was having to listen to students with no work ethic complain all semester. Kudos to Dr. Broussard for constructively challenging students to do their best!

This professor sucks!

Her powerpoint presentations suck! She has good speaking skills but the class is so damn boring you can't help but to fall asleep. She never hands back homeworks or tests to see what you have missed or might be able to correct. Some of the homeworks are opinion based and she will still take points off.
