Shes not a bad teacher, she just really needs alot of work. One of the worst aspects of her class was the fact that you were expected to print out all of the notes and homework assignments and everything on your own free time. Maybe thats the norm in higher level classes, but nothing that i've ever experienced.

She also likes to just ramble during lectures. Not only is this very boring, but it makes you feel like a sucker for even going to class. You feel like a sucker because she does not actually take attendance even though on the syllabus it says that she will. Twice during this semester she had to revise the syllabus because we fell behind, and then after the third syllabus we were still not on with the syllabus. She seems to offer plenty of opportunity for extra credit and make-up work, whether this is because she's nice or because she's padding her grades, i'm not sure. If I get a B in the class (which i suspect I will) I'll wonder if it should have been a C.

I have to give her some credit, because at least she tries, and she is a very sweet person...but the class just isn't structured or organized. I feel like her lectures never have any focus...it's just sort of random information thrown together. At the beginning of the semester we recieved a detailed syllabus, but she hasn't kept up with the schedule of chapters and assignments at all. There have been several extra assignments that weren't even on the syllabus to begin with. I have found her grading and her policies to be inconsistant, and the majority of the assignments for the class haven't been of much help to my understanding of the material. If you must take this class with this teacher, plan on studying and learning all of the material on your own, because the class periods are wastes of time. It is rare that anything gets accomplished. I have never been this disapointed with a class or a teacher...I can't believe this university would even have so ineffective a teacher.
