Little problems don't stop him from being a great teacher.

Dr. Turpin is an excellent lecturer, and in a class the size of ENTM 105, thats an important thing. His lectures are well structured and always follow a set outline. The homework was kind of dumb at times, and you never get it back so its hard to gauge how well you did on the homeworks when it comes time for Finals. However, the one time I did need to talk to Dr. Turpin, he was in his office and was willing to talk to me.

All of that aside his lectures are almost always interesting and he's a very good speaker. ENTM 105 is a wonderful way to fulfill a science credit if you can take it.

The most creative professor at Purdue

This professor is the most creative teacher I've ever had. He takes what you'd think is a dry subject like learning about insects and turns it into a fun. He talks about insects in music, children's toys, and clothing. This guy always has some kind of costume or article of clothing relating to what he is lecturing about that day. The tests are tough and detail-specific, but I didn't mind that much because the class was so much fun.
