Bruce Dean

Professor Dean is definately the worst professor I have had in my three years at UMF. His class was boring, his lectures made me sleepy and he was not understanding at all. I had to miss class due to a death in the family and he was extremely rude and uncompassionate about it. He told me that if I continued to "skip" his classes that I might as well drop out because he'd fail me anyway. He did not care about the reason I was absent, although he was aware of it. He made me cry three times (in class) and humiliated in front of my peers more than once. Professor Dean is also known to treat English majors far better than he does any other major. I had to take the class to fulfill an english requirement for my major (Ele. Ed.) I (as well as a few other students I know of) have been to see one of the Dean's of the university regarding this teacher, however there is not much that can be done as he is "tenured." I have NEVER been treated with such a lack of respect as I was by Professor Dean. This is not any type of retaliatory review. I only write the truth and I just though others should know how this "tenured" professor is towards his students.
